During the war of the independence there were lot of battles. George Washington would not have won or America became independent if the patriots turn the other cheek. Islam and Quraan would have justified fighting the oppressor and the British occupying army. Give to Cesar what is due to Cesar doesn't work either.
If prophet Muhamed didn't fight battles there would have been no Islam in history and idol worshiping would have lasted to our days
