Turkey needs to build a new one billion Dollars mosque in Istanbul that fits with our age where the role and function of mosque has evolved or need to be developed. Such mosque should be ultra modern and of course should have the beautiful graceful minarets, domes and large carpeted prayers area but there will be other modern featurs. Such new mega large mosque should contain lecture halls, rooms where classes for children will be offered as well adults. There will be large auditorium and social hall for certain functions as to perform weddings and funeral reading of the koran for the deceased where the family and friends to attend.
A large library and book store should be included.
With opulence of Istanbul and prosperity around such new billion dollars mosque is not far from catching the imagination of Muslims in Turkey.
